Njurundahallen is a well-known swimming and sports facility as well as a club-friendly training and competition venue. The facility includes a swimming pool with a 25-meter pool and a teaching pool, diving tower, relaxation area, sports halls, gym, and conference rooms.

Currently, there are seven full-time swimming attendants and one unit manager working at Njurundahallen.

Njurundahallen aims to create good conditions for citizens and visitors to engage in a variety of recreational activities. We will offer sports and leisure activities in an attractive environment and be a safe meeting place.

The target group includes sports clubs, the general public, and schools. The facilities are used by all age groups and consist of both athletes, students, and the general public.

Our facilities should be characterized by generous opening hours, good maintenance, high accessibility, and excellent hospitality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a swimming attendant, you will work with all tasks that occur at the workplace, such as supervising swimming, teaching swimming, cleaning, cashier duties, sales and reception work, as well as conducting and leading group activities. You are also expected to provide good customer service and perform some technical service. Job rotation is a natural part of the operation, and the work may involve evening and weekend shifts. Some solo work may also occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a swimming instructor education or other equivalent education/experience and/or education in wellness that the employer deems equivalent.

The requirement is that you are knowledgeable in swimming and lifesaving (Gold Buoy), have swimming instructor training, and a B driver's license.

To succeed in this role, we prefer that you have worked in a swimming facility with related tasks. We also appreciate experience in swimming instruction, customer contacts, cashier experience, or reception work and that you have led sports or wellness activities.

As a person, you are service-oriented, self-driven, flexible, and focus on the right things. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and work well with others. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to make decisions even under time pressure.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

A good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

Those offered employment must provide a valid extract from the police criminal record according to the Act (2013:852) on background checks of persons working with children. Extracts for work with children in other activities than school and childcare.
